Course overview
This course will extend students’ programming skills to design and build secure, database-driven web applications. Students will construct a website using modern frameworks such as ASP.NET Core and ReactJS, integrating databases through object-relational mapping and exposing functionality via RESTful JSON APIs. Interactivity will be enhanced through JavaScript and data visualisation with D3 or other libraries, with an emphasis on maintainable, user-focused web applications that reflect current industry practice.
