Notes

    1. Students planning to apply for an Honours in Psychology year, either at Adelaide University or at another Australian university, must select and successfully complete the Specialist Psychology Course, PSYC3014 Advanced Research Methods. Specialist Psychology Courses are offered subject to student demand and staff availability. See the program specific electives list for options.
    2. Students who choose to take PSYC3901 Psychology Placement are required to undertake Criminal History Checks through the Department of Human Services (DHS) and to have completed a one-day Safe Environments for Children and Young People course. Some placements may also require students to hold a current driver's licence, National Police Check, Responding to Abuse and Neglect training, or recognised First Aid Certificate.
    3. Students who have completed 90 hours of volunteering may be eligible to apply for credit for a 6 unit elective.
    4. Students wishing to take this course PSYC3901 Psychology Placement out of program sequence, in Study Period 2, should seek advice from the Program Director.
    5. The Justice & Society Study Tour (SOCI3032) course can be chosen in place of an elective course as part of this program. Additional fees apply for the study tour component of this course, and enrolment is conditional upon successful application in a competitive Expression of Interest process as well as successful completion of 48 units.
