The Adelaide Launch Your Future: ASEAN Scholarship offers a 50% tuition fee reduction. It is a prestigious and highly competitive award, with limited places available for students from ASEAN nations who have achieved a high distinction average. In addition, a grant of AUD $10,000 will be paid in two equal instalments of AUD $5,000 to help cover relocation and living expenses. This scholarship recognises international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees who have achieved outstanding academic performance in their previous studies.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  1. be an international student and a citizen from one of the following countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Timor-Leste, Brunei;
  2. be applying to study a bachelor degree (minimum 96 units / 2 years equivalent) after the application of any credit/RPL, or a master’s degree (minimum 72 units / 1.5 years equivalent) after the application of any credit/RPL, at Adelaide University;
  3. satisfy one of the following in the qualification used as the basis of admission to the Adelaide University degree:
    1. Undergraduate only: applicants with a minimum ATAR of 99 (or international equivalent).
    2. Undergraduate and postgraduate: applicants with a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.7 (on a 7.0 scale) or comparable score.
  4. not be applying to study one of the Excluded Programs (see below);
  5. not be an Australia Awards recipient; and
  6. not be an International Sponsored Student entitled to an International Sponsored Student tuition fee waiver that is equal to or greater than the Value of the Fee Waiver under the Scholarship (in which case the International Sponsored Student fee waiver will apply and not the Scholarship Fee Waiver, or the Grant). Note: a student cannot receive both a Scholarship Fee Waiver and an International Sponsored Student tuition fee waiver concurrently.

Important information

Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) to maintain:

The recipient must maintain a minimum Program Term GPA of at least 5.5 on a 7.0 scale (Minimum GPA) in reviews of academic progress carried out each compulsory Study Period. The Fee Waiver may be suspended if the recipient’s GPA falls below the Minimum GPA. If a recipient’s overall GPA falls below the Minimum GPA, the Fee Waiver will not be applied to the next invoice. If a recipient’s GPA returns to the Minimum GPA or above, the Fee Waiver will recommence and will be applied to the next invoice.

How to apply

Scholarship applications for Semester 2 2026 open 1 April 2026 and close 22 May 2026. To apply, complete the appropriate application form below and follow the provided instructions.

Your application will be assessed by a selection panel and based on merit. Successful recipients will be notified prior to commencement at Adelaide University and the scholarship will be applied to your Offer of Admission.
