Our mission is to deliver world-class advances in plant biology, agricultural production and wine, food and nutrition sciences to inform and support these sectors and policy makers – for the benefit of consumers and global communities.
The activities and investments of the Waite Research Institute support this mission through:
- Support and development for key strategic projects in agriculture, food and wine with a particular focus on industry alignment and interdisciplinary research
- Food Innovation theme investment
- Wide engagement on behalf of the Waite with external stakeholders
- Targeted support of people, activities and projects that build the Waite brand
The Waite Research Institute plays a pivotal role at the Waite campus, providing an important 'front-door' service for the precinct, supporting strategic and collaborative initiatives between the collocated partners, investing in infrastructure and coordinating shared communications activities and events.
Located at Urrbrae, 7km south of the Adelaide CBD, the Waite is Australia's leading research, education and commercialisation precinct for agriculture, food and wine science.
