Today marks the start of the mid-year orientation period. A big welcome to all of our new (and returning) students! We're offering a selection of workshops to help you get started.

 

Workshops

We're running two workshops, both with in-person and online session options, to help you get started using the Library.

Searching with confidence

In this workshop, you will learn how to search with confidence and explore the Library’s online resources to find all the information you need to complete your assignments. Learn how to use Library Search, Google more effectively, and how to find online and physical books, peer-reviewed articles, and more.

Referencing with confidence

In this workshop, you will learn how to reference with confidence and cite information using a variety of referencing styles. Learn the basics of referencing correctly, the differences between in-text and footnote referencing, and where to find support for the referencing styles you will need to use in your assignments.

Academic Support expo

The Library will have an information booth at the Academic Support expo on Wednesday 26 July between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm, held in Hub Central. Our friendly Ask Library staff will be on hand to offer advice or answer any questions you might have about how the Library can help with your studies, so be sure to visit us.
