Welcome to O Week 2024

Today marks the start of this year's O Week! This year we are offering a selection of workshops for all new (and returning) students. Continue reading for full details of our orientation program.

Workshops

This year we are also running workshops, with both an in-person and online session option, to help you get started using the Library.

Searching and referencing with confidence (in-person)

In this workshop, you will learn how to search with confidence and explore the Library’s online resources to find all the information you need to complete your assignments. Learn how to use Library Search, Google more effectively, and how to find online and physical books, peer-reviewed articles, and more.

You will also learn how to reference with confidence and cite information using a variety of referencing styles. Learn the basics of referencing correctly, the differences between in-text and footnote referencing, and where to find support for the referencing styles you will need to use in your assignments.
