Student Support: Getting Started at The University of Adelaide

We understand how crucial it is to have your digital essentials set up and ready for the start of term.

Activating your student account & email

Please ensure that you have your Student ID Number (e.g. a1234567) ready. Go to the Profile Management page and input your Student ID Number to activate your account.

 

Setup Multi Factor Authentication

Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of account security by requiring two or more pieces of information to gain access to University data and systems. You will be prompted to set up MFA such via Okta Verify or Google Authenticator before you login to the University system for the first time. Please refer to the MFA page for further guidance.

 

Connecting to the University of Adelaide Wi-Fi Network

Stay connected anywhere on campus with your laptop or other portable devices by connecting to the University Wi-Fi network. Visit the Wi-Fi Network page for details instructions on how to connect to the University Wi-Fi.

 

Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 access is free for all University of Adelaide students. You can install Microsoft Office 365 applications on up to 5 compatible desktops (PC or Mac), plus 5 tablets/mobile devices. This includes the latest versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher and Outlook. Details on how to install and access Microsoft Office 365 can be found here.

Remote Access
