International Rodents
Quarantine, Importing and Exporting.
Investigators wishing to import laboratory animals should become familiar with the requirements of the Department of Agriculture.
LAS has a Quarantine Approved Arrangement (AA) at the Helen Mayo Animal Facility which is used to house imported rodents during their Quarantine period. LAS can assist with importing rodents from all over the World.
LAS holds an import permit for the following Countries; Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia (Czech Republic), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
This permit can be used by Researchers however, a separate permit may be required for other Countries that are not listed above, and this would be the responsibility of the Researcher to obtain.
LAS can also assist with coordinating the export of your rodents to other Countries.
