Kishan elected as SPIE Society Director
Kishan Dholakia has been elected as one of the Society Directors for SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics.
The results of the 2024 SPIE Election were announced live at the Society's Annual General Meeting on 20th August during the SPIE Optics and Photonics Conference in San Diego, CA, USA.
Professor Cather Simpson from The University of Auckland, CEO of Orbis Diagnostics, was elected to serve as the 2025 Vice President of SPIE.
There are three other newly-elected Society Directors who will serve three-year terms from 2025-2027 together with Kishan, they are:
- Alexis Spilman Vogt, Monroe Community College and AmeriCOM
- Debbie Gustafson, CEO of Energetiq Technology
- Brian Pogue, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Jim McNally of StratTHNK Associates was also elected the 2025 SPIE Secretary/Treasurer.
The newly-elected SPIE Board of Directors will be able to influence future directions for the society and make a real impact in the field of optics and photonics.
