Dry River Murray

Professor Wayne Meyer says we had better get used to a drier River Murray.
Recent research into the state of the Murray-Darling Basin shows we need to adapt and adjust downwards our expectations of how much water will be available, writes the University of Adelaide Professor Wayne Meyer.

The report from geophysicist Dr Paul Tregonning from the Australian National University, that the Murray-Darling Basin has lost a significant amount of stored water since 2001 is yet another piece of evidence that the region is undergoing a significant drying event.
