Strengthening Basin Communities (SBC) project

Eleven South Australian Murray-Darling Basin (SA MDB) Councils have partnered with the SA MDB Natural Resources Management (NRM) Board to deliver a number of projects under the Strengthening Basin Communities Planning Component in SA Program to plan for an uncertain climate future, with a particular focus on water availability.

This project was gathered together under the support of the Environment Institute and has been magnificently handled by Mark Siebentritt and Mellissa Bradley, the project officer making the link between the NRM Board and the 11 Councils. This is an exemplar project of researchers from state, federal and university institutions working with consultants, NRM Board and local government as a team to build plans for the future.
