Guest Speaker - Dr Lee Arnold
The Environment Institute presents a free public seminar by Dr Lee Arnold from the Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH), on Tuesday 4th September 2012.
The talk is titled ‘Optical dating in a new light: Improved and extended-range chronologies using single-grain techniques’.
Dr Arnold will discuss his work with optical dating techniques and their application to the dating of sediments across a broad range of depositional settings. He has worked on projects looking at extinction of megafauna, climate change, and human archaeology.
