Land managers are keen to know whether vegetation cover and condition over large areas of arid Australia are being maintained despite various pressures such as grazing, feral animals, introduced weeds and climate change.
To uncover the story of Australian arid vegetation, Erika Lawley with PhD supervisors Professor Megan Lewis and Associate Professor Bertram Ostendorf from the Environment Institute have used 25 years of satellite images to demonstrate how the landscape varies in space and time.
