The Science Nation Great Debate 2016: Unsung Heroes

You don’t have to be Einstein to know that some scientists are more famous than others. The Science Nation Great Debate 2016 will shine the spotlight on the forgotten scientists of the past with a debate tournament to see who is the greatest unsung hero of all. With additional rounds of improvised, audience-inspired, topics this Great Debate is 90 minutes of science & laughs that promises to be fun for people of all ages.

Debaters competing for glory in Adelaide include: ex-agricultural scientist and science communication researcher Dr Heather Bray; metaboloepigeneticist and comic Dr Hannah Brown; anthropologist and evolutionary scientist Prof Alan Cooper; chemist, Adelaide’s reigning Great Debate champion and the former face of Adelaide Noby Leong; marine biologist, science communicator and salsa dancer Dr Tullio Rossi; physical chemist and surface scientist Dr Andrew Stapleton; physicist, science communicator and Science Nation founder Dr Andrew Stephenson; and palaeontologist, RiAus Director and self-confessed train nut Dr Paul Willis.

Time: 6:00-7:30pm (doors and bar open at 5:30pm)
Venue: RiAus, The Science Exchange, Adelaide.
Tickets: $10 online, $15 at the door.
