Podcast- Genetic Data Reinforcing Aboriginal Connection to Country
Radio Adelaide's Sound of Science program chats to Dr Ray Tobler, geneticist from the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA (ACAD).
Dr Tobler is part of a team of researchers working on the Aboriginal Heritage Project which aims to reconstruct the genetic history of Aboriginal communities using ground-breaking techniques.
The project uses specimens and records collected through anthropological studies undertaken between the 1920s and 1970s to connect information derived from DNA in hair strands with details of family, culture and lineage.
