Vicki Thomson secures Australia-India Strategic Research Fund Fellowship
A big congratulations to Dr Vicki Thomson (School of Biological Sciences) who has been awarded one of only four Australia-India Strategic Research Fund Fellowships from the Australian Academy of Science.
The fellowship, which is valued at $88,000, will enable Dr Thomson to undertake work at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Bangalore. She will study the disease risk from black rat species in India.
The Australia-India Strategic Research Fund enables Australian researchers to work collaboratively with Indian scientists. The fund is supported by the Australian Government and is dedicated to solidifying bilateral ties with India.
