Talks at Facebook; Advertiser Feature; Unmanned Aircraft License Granted
It's been a very busy, successful month for the Centre of Applied Conservation Science!
Director of the Centre, Professor Lian Pin Koh was invited to speak at Facebook's Privacy@Scale Conference which addressed teen privacy, Artifical Intelligence image recognition, data privacy and life saving technologies.
Prof Koh spoke about his unmanned drones project which is used for a wide range of environmental and conservation purposes. The centre conducts training overseas on drone flights and safety, however they had a big boost when the the partially Environment Institute bid to deliver training for Remote Pilot’s Licenses in Australian airspace was successful!
To top all this success off, Prof Koh was featured in the Advertiser this week. He spoke about the centres conservation work in more than twenty countries over the last six years.
