Professor Sarah Wheeler elected as fellow in the Academy of the Social Sciences

Environment Institute member joins 38 leading economists, lawyers, psychologists, philosophers and other social scientists at the Academy.

The Academy of the Social Sciences was established in 1971 to recognise and champion excellence in the social sciences and to provide evidence-based advice on a range of social policy issues. In November, the Academy announced the election of three, highly-qualified University academics on the basis of a sustained and internationally-distinguished contribution to their field. These are:

Professor Sarah Wheeler who is Associate Director of Research with the Centre for Global Food and Resources (GFAR) and current President-elect for the Australian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society for 2020.  Her research interests focus on issues with the environment, agriculture, natural resources, climate change, water markets, food and health.

We congratulate Professor Wheeler in joining this elite group.
