SDG Hub
The University of Adelaide's SDG Hub is part of a global network of passionate students and change makers, working to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals through their studies, research projects and advocacy.
The Hub is coordinated by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) - A global initiative for the United Nations and the SDSN Youth program to mobilise action on the Sustainable Development Goals.
Many students want to contribute to solving global and local sustainability issues but might be unsure where to start. The SDG Hub is a place to learn about the SDGs, meet like-minded students and work on initiatives in the local community. Most importantly, the SDG Hub supports students wanting to carry sustainability into their future work after graduation.
The University of Adelaide has been a signatory to the Sustainable Development Goals since 2016. This commitment ensures that the University:
- support and promote the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals,
- undertake research that provides solutions to sustainable development challenges,
- provide the educational opportunity for our students to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development,
- contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals by ensuring our campuses and major programs are environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive, and
- report on our activities in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
More information about this commitment can be found at SDSN Australia, New Zealand and Pacific.
