Pathology

The RVH Pathology Laboratory is our comprehensive in-house pathology service which services the clinical and research areas of the Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital, as well as the wider animal science industry.

Pathologists and technicians provide a comprehensive service for patient samples using automated analysers for blood biochemistry, haematology, electrolytes and blood gas.

Microbiology culture, bacterial identification and sensitivities as well as histopathology and cytology are carried out in controlled lab areas. Interpreted results are sent back to vets dealing with critical cases which provides them with the necessary information to make educated decisions about treatment plans.

Our extensive necropsy suite provides a clinical service for all species including animals from Monarto and Adelaide Zoos.
