Equine specialist Surita du Preez joins our clinic

South African veterinary graduate Surita du Preez has joined the Equine Health and Performance Centre.
Dr du Preez enjoys all aspects of equine medicine with a specific interest in neonatal and adult critical care, ophthalmology, neurology and respiratory disease.
Dr du Preez graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2007 with a special interest equine medicine and surgery.
She worked in mixed practice before relocating to Australia. Here she spent more than five years in equine private practice before completing a four-year combined specialist training and a professional doctorate in equine internal medicine at Charles Sturt University.
Dr du Preez’s doctorate research involved the evaluation of non-invasive diagnostic modalities to evaluate lower airway health of horses.
She attained diplomate status of the European College of Equine Internal Medicine in February 2018.
