RVH Pathology

The RVH Pathology Laboratory is a cutting-edge, in-house diagnostic service that supports the clinical and research divisions of Roseworthy Veterinary Hospital, as well as the broader animal science and veterinary industry. Our laboratory provides high-quality, comprehensive pathology services to aid in disease diagnosis, treatment planning, and research advancements.

Our team of highly skilled pathologists and technicians utilize advanced automated analyzers for blood biochemistry, haematology, electrolytes, and blood gas analysis, ensuring rapid and accurate diagnostic results. We also specialize in microbiology, including bacterial culture, identification, and antimicrobial sensitivity testing, as well as histopathology and cytology, which play a crucial role in disease diagnosis and case management. All interpreted results are promptly provided to veterinarians, offering critical insights that inform treatment decisions for complex and urgent cases.

Additionally, our fully equipped necropsy suite provides post-mortem examinations for a wide range of species, including wildlife and exotic animals from Monarto and Adelaide Zoos. Our necropsy services help uncover disease patterns, contribute to epidemiological studies, and support conservation efforts.
