2022 Volunteer Achievement Awards
On Tuesday 6 December the Volunteer Achievement Award nominees and winners were celebrated at a special ceremony to recognise the exceptional contributions they make to the University community.
2022 National Student Volunteer Week
On Friday 12 August we celebrated NSVW with the Minister for Human Services, Hon Nat Cook MP who presented the Premier's Certificates for Outstanding Volunteer Service.
2021 National Volunteer Week (NVW)
During NVW2021; volunteers, students and staff participated in the annual volunteer parade in the city; popped by our volunteer stall in the hub to wave their appreciation to volunteers across Australia or attended volunteer training session facilitated by Northern Volunteering.
2020 National Student Volunteer Week (NSVW)
As part of NSVW20, two of our student volunteers received a Premier’s Certificate for their outstanding volunteer service to the University by Hon Michelle Lensink, MLC, Minister for Human Services. The Minister then surprised International Students during the volunteer run CommuniTea program.
2019 International Volunteer Day
The 2019 Volunteer Achievement Award nominees and winners were celebrated at a special barbecue lunch to recognise the exceptional contributions they make to the University community.
2019 International Volunteer Managers Day
A special morning tea was held on Tuesday 5 November to recognise staff who support and coordinate volunteer programs for the University. Certificates were presented by the Vice-Chancellor & President Professor Peter Rathjen and Donatella Amos of Northern Volunteering to coordinators that completed Volunteer Management Training in 2019.
2019 National Student Volunteer Week (NSVW)
As part of NSVW19 we celebrated and thanked our student volunteers for their efforts with a special afternoon tea with the Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor. Activities during the week included a pop-up stand in Hub Central to promote volunteering and provide opportunities for students to share with us what they gain from volunteering.
2019 Volunteer Afternoon Tea with Minister
SA Minister for Human Services, The Hon Michelle Lensink MLC joined University volunteers for a special lunch where she presented the Premier's Certificate for Volunteering.

On Monday 20 May 2019, University volunteers together walked down King William Street as part of the 2019 National Volunteer Week Parade.
