Welcome to the Careers Service

The Careers Service markets the University's graduates to employers, and assists students to learn the necessary skills to manage their career throughout life. We enable students to articulate their professional skills, values and graduate attributes while empowering them to compete globally in the labour market.

Our Mission

The University of Adelaide Careers Service will connect with our current students to achieve successful graduate employment outcomes. We recognize the value of creating mutually beneficial relationships with our students, graduates and employers in order to achieve this. We aim to inspire, enthuse and empower students to obtain fulfilling employment and also to develop effective and innovative career management skills for life.

What does the Careers Service do?

The goal of the Careers Service is to assist students and recent graduates to manage their careers. The service aims to assist students to obtain an understanding of their personal qualities, skills and values as well as knowledge of the labour market, industry sectors and employers. The service can also help students and graduates of the University to develop and implement realistic career plans and understand the process of career choices.

Services for Students

There are many resources to help with your career planning and progression. The University of Adelaide Careers Service provides help in the following ways:

• Resource Centre (located at the Careers Service, Level 6 Hughes Building)
• Vacancy listings, online resources and news through CareerHub
• Careers Events
• Resumé Checking Service
• Careers Advising Service (by appointment)
