Academic integrity: Why does it matter?

We hear about academic integrity all the time, but what exactly is it and, more importantly, what is its material effect on our lives?

This workshop explores why academic integrity is essential, with an emphasis on the years after graduation. You'll explore why academic integrity matters, its long-term impacts, how it affects life outside academia and how to talk about academic integrity with others.

From AI to evidence: Finding, evaluating and citing sources you can trust

Online workshop

12:00pm–1:00pm

AI tools can help you think about your research – but they can't do your research for you. They can invent sources, misrepresent arguments, and produce reference lists that look right but frequently aren't. This session gives you a practical three-stage pathway – find it, evaluate it, cite it – so you know how to use AI appropriately, evaluate what it gives you, and cite sources in ways that protect your academic integrity.
