Magill Campus is tucked in the picturesque eastern suburb of Magill just seven kilometres from Adelaide’s city centre, located here.

Of course – it’s important to us that everyone can enjoy Open Day.  The Magill  campus has lifts and accessible access to all locations open on the day.

The campus will have signage to direct you to key facilities. Helpful staff will also be around campus to guide you to your destination.

The University has a number of wheelchair accessible toilets on each of its campuses. These will be marked on the accessibility maps available at the welcome booth on the day.

Most lecture theatres and teaching spaces provide facilities such as wheelchair spaces, and many have wheelchair access points at the front and rear of the room. Hearing loops are available on campus in some lecture theatres to assist people using hearing aids.

Accessible parking bays are located throughout each of the campuses. In the event all parking bays are occupied, Disability Permit holders can park in any accessible parking bay or plain white lined area, provided their permit from the Department of Transport is clearly displayed. The permit is not valid in yellow lined parking bays such as 15-minute bays, loading zones, or reserved spaces.

If you require assistance in for a campus tours in particular, please make this known on the day, or contact our events team at universityevents@adelaide.edu.au

The completion of the Magill Campus Sale and Leaseback contract has been finalised with transfer of ownership to the South Australian Government at the end of 2023. The University of South Australia has leased back the campus, which has transferred to Adelaide University. There is no impact on teaching and research arrangements in the medium term. Details around the move of operations from the Magill Campus will involve detailed discussion and engagement with the Adelaide University community. The State Government is developing a masterplan for the future use of this site in the longer-term

We anticipate that anyone starting a 3-4 year degree based at the Magill campus from 2026 (studying full-time), would complete most, if not all, of their degree on this campus. Any plans to consolidate Adelaide University campuses will be communicated to students well in advance with clear support and transition timelines in place.
