These prizes are open for application with each examining year (from March). Applications close 1 December each year. Those wishing to apply should email the office by 1 December, including the specified supporting documentary evidence. The winners of these prizes are not announced unless expressly requested by the prize winner (or their guardian). All applications remain confidential and identifying information is not provided to the examiners determining prize recipients.
Prize recipients are selected by the Prizes Committee, appointed annually by the AMBE SA & NT Advisory Board. However, in some instances (eg: Student Accompanist Prize and AUSTA prizes) a selection panel may be formed by affiliated organisations. Recipients are shortlisted based on their result and most are then judged on the contents of their de-identified reports.
If a candidate has been invited to accept a scholarship or award, they will be directed to do so via the AMEB SA & NT Prize acceptance form.
