Green Industries SA Circular Economy Student Award 2022

Congratulations to Liancheng Li, PhD candidate in the School of Architecture and Built Environment, who was the recipient of the Green Industries SA's Circular Economy Student Award  for 'Masters-PhD'.

Susan Close, Deputy Premier and Minister for Climate, Environment, and Water recently announced four Green Industries SA's Circular Economy Student Award recipients. The awards promote capacity building by recognising postgraduate students who are engaged in circular economy solutions for South Australia.

Liancheng’s research investigated the conversion of waste plastics into construction applications, from a business perspective. Her research examined critical issues/factors and their interrelationships in the conversion of waste plastics to construction materials and value-added use, presenting a local business landscape of SA’s plastic recycling chain, its strengths and weaknesses, as well as corresponding solutions.
