Students recognised in Cambodian Alumni Awards
Two University of Adelaide alumni have been recognised as Australian Alumni of the Year by the Australian Alumni Association of Cambodia (AAA-C).
Ain Chean Toing was awarded the Community Leadership Award for his outstanding work to support the most vulnerable communities in Cambodia through his significant contributions to underprivileged and disadvantaged children and young adults. He has leveraged his Master of Education from the University of Adelaide to create a direct noticeable benefit in the communities he works with and displays a strong dedication to Cambodia's development through his involvement with the AAA-C. Ain Chean Toing graduated from the University in 2014.
Sao Sereysothea received the Young Leadership Award for her strong drive and engagement after undertaking a Master of Global Food and Agricultural Business at the University of Adelaide. She has been acknowledged for her strong leadership qualities and distinguished herself in her field as having a strong commitment to the agribusiness sector. In addition to supporting and mobilising other alumni by taking part in the AAA-C, she is also the founder and CEO of her start-up, Khmer Super Plantfood, and actively maintains links with her Australian contacts. Sothea graduated from the University in 2020.
