The last IPAS seminar of the year is welcoming Prof Fetah Benabid - a CNRS director of research and honorary professor at the university Western Australia (Australia). He is the group founder and leader of Gas-Phase Photonic and Microwave Materials (GPPMM) at the CNRS UMR Xlim, Limoges, France. A group founded in the UK and fully transferred to Limoges. Fetah Benabid is also the founder and NE-CTO/CSO of GLOphotonics, market leader in hollow-core fibers for industrial applications.
Stable Optical and vacuum systems for applications in space and beyond - Moritz Mihm - Johannes Gutenberg Uni Mainz
- Date: Thu, 30 Jan 2020, 12:00 am
- Location: The Braggs Building, Level 2
Numerous quantum technologies are used in extreme environments. The operation outside the laboratory makes high demands on the experiment and especially the laser system regarding miniaturization and power consumption as well as mechanical and thermal stability.
Chris Kalnins - Radioisotope mapping in complex mineral samples (aka: taking photos of spicy rocks
