Biochemical Measurements using SPR and Raman - Dr Yinlan Ruan

Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is collective oscillations of free electrons at the interface of the gold film and glass substrate which is excited by light at an angle with bulk prism configuration. For the nanostructured gold film, its localized SPR can be excited by vertical incidence of the light, which enables a fibre SPR tip sensor developed.

Experimental Quantum Optics and Quantum Information - Prof Patrick Windpassinger

In the talk, I will give an overview over the three different research lines of my group. The first part deals with our efforts to generate controlled interaction between photonic states. As is well known, photons do generally not interact with each other in free space.
