Professor Kishan Dholakia, a member of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing and Director of the Centre of Light for Life at the University of Adelaide, has been elected as a Society Director for SPIE, the international Society for Optics and Photonics. His term will run from 2025 to 2027.
Along with Professor Dholakia, other newly elected members of the SPIE Society Directors include Dr Alexis Vogt, professor of Optics at Monroe Community College, Debbie Gustafson, CEO of Energetiq Technology, and Professor Brian Pogue, chair of the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Together, they will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of SPIE and make significant contributions to the global optics and photonics community.
