IPAS-AFOSR Seminar with Dr Leslie Blaha

The University of Adelaide's Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing had the privilege of hosting Dr Leslie Blaha, Deputy Chief Scientist at the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), for an engaging and insightful seminar.

Speaking to a full audience, Dr Blaha highlighted AFOSR's pivotal role in advancing science and technology for the Air and Space Force. She provided a detailed overview of managing $500M annually for basic research and overseeing more than 5,000 projects worldwide. Her talk underscored the importance of global collaboration in addressing critical defence and innovation challenges.
