IPAS Celebrates Two Outstanding Women as Superstars of STEM for 2023-24
In a remarkable acknowledgment of excellence, two distinguished members of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) at the University of Adelaide, Associate Professor Tara Pukala and Dr Sarah Scholten, have been named among Australia's Superstars of STEM for the 2023-24 period.

On Thursday 11 August from 6-8.30 PM, the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS) and the Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) will proudly co-host the Physics Industry Night 2022.
QuantX Labs made news headline
Congratulations to QuantX Labs for being successfully awarded $1m to develop the most precise and compact atomic clock in space. The funds will help QuantX and IPAS to boost commercialisation of the space clock over the next two years.

IPAS members awarded 2021 Future Making Fellowship
Congratulations to IPAS members, Katharina Richter, Danny Wilson and Cheryl Law for being awarded the University Future Making Fellowship Scheme 2021. IPAS was so proud to have 3 out of 11 fellowships awarded at this round.

Space Industry Work Experience at IPAS
From 13-15 July, IPAS/OzGrav was delighted to host the 2021 Space Industry Work Experience Program. This is a unique work experience program giving South Australian secondary school students, personal insight into the space industry, an understanding of necessary skills and qualifications, and networking opportunities, to inspire space-focused STEM careers. From a total of 162 applications, all from very high achieving students across both Metro and Rural schools, Tom Clancy, Natalie Hand and Albert Thomson were successfully selected for the 2020/2021 South Australian Space Industry Work Experience Program.

Congratulations to Prof Kishan Dholakia, IPAS member from the School of Biological Sciences, for being awarded a prestigious 2021 ARC Australian Laureate Fellowship, a fiercely competitive fellowship only awarded to researchers who have truly achieved international eminence in their fields of expertise.
