IPAS Deputy Director selected as a 2024 SA Scientist of the Year Finalist

Congratulations Prof Heike Ebendorff-Heidepriem who was successfully selected as a 2024 South Australian Scientist of the Year finalist.  Heike, Deputy Director of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), is a world-renowned researcher and leader in optical glass and fibre with multiple of international recognitions and awards. As a 2023 ARC Industry Laureate, Heike is leading the transformative development of ZBLAN Space Fibre, an innovation with potential to revolutionise global internet connectivity and data transfer rates at the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Science, the University of Adelaide.
