Picturesque outdoor event space in the heart of Adelaide

City East Campus boasts a range of expansive lawns and manicured gardens, perfect for a range of outdoor events for up to 1,000 people. Most lawns have standard electricity, while others have additional power provision for major events and food trucks.

Barr Smith Lawns

The University’s most iconic outdoor space is suited to large student gatherings and major events, with 3-phase power, street furniture, drinking fountain, upgraded CCTV and a BBQ.

Goodman Crescent Lawns

Surrounded by historical sandstone buildings and blooming jacarandas, the Goodman Crescent Lawns is a delightful location for high-end celebrations, and a handy breakout space for events in the adjacent Halls.

Maths Lawns

The largest lawned space on campus has hosted O-Week celebrations, cultural events, festivals and international artists. With a capacity of 1,000+, there is ample room for large stages and multiple marquees.

Conditions of use

University lawns are a carefully preserved and prestigious venue option, and due to their heritage significance and the underlying irrigation system have specific care requirements. Any marquees must be weighted rather than pegged, and vehicle access is restricted.
