AHMS spaces

Joe Verco Lecture Theatre (G033)

This distinctive ‘Harvard-style’ lecture theatre seats 90 in a horseshoe arrangement around a spacious presentation floor.

The facility offers extensive audio-visual equipment including a high resolution presentation screen, video conferencing capability, and microphones for multiple presenters as well as microphones at each seat to facilitate moderated discussion panels or recorded seminars. 

A ramped entry is designed to accommodate a barouche (operating theatre trolley), and the adjacent foyer is ideal for networking, registration, or catering purposes.

G030 Lecture Theatre

AHMS’s largest teaching and function space, G030 is a versatile space that can be converted from lecture theatre to a complete flat floor space. 

Seating 240 as a lecture theatre in the foldaway tiered seating, the room includes standard AV equipment including a PC, projector, and screens for high resolution presentations. A lecture microphone, lapel mic, and roaming mic are all available to facilitate interactive panels or discussions.

The adjacent foyer offers space for networking, catering, or registration purposes.

A minimum of three days’ notice is required for any bookings requiring a flat floor space.

Lecture theatre 1059

This large, flexible space can be used as a single theatre or divided into two standalone rooms. 

Each section of the room is equipped with standard AV equipment including PC, projectors, screens, and microphones for presenters and audience interaction. 

The theatre seats 208 as a single venue, split evenly to seat 104 in each section. A minimum of two days’ notice is required for the room divider to be put into place. 

Meeting rooms

AHMS offers a variety of meeting rooms catering from 16 to 60 people, ideal for breakout spaces and small groups as part of a larger event. 

Most rooms can be split into two, offering up to 12 individual spaces.

Each meeting room offers its own AV equipment including PC, projector, screen, roaming microphone, lapel microphone and lectern. 

Foyer spaces

The ground and first-floor foyer spaces at AHMS can be booked in conjunction with other room bookings. These open spaces provide an excellent location for registrations, exhibitions, networking and catering.

Urban Park

A relaxed outdoor meeting space for Adelaide University’s staff and students alike, Urban Park occupies the space between AHMS and the Mod building.

Facilities include an electric barbecue and bike parking. This space can be booked for events.
