Adelaide University’s student radio station, streaming 24/7!
UniCast, Adelaide University’s student radio station, has been streaming since October 2011. It streams 24/7 from the University’s radio studios at Magill Campus.
UniCast is also an Adelaide University Student Association (AUSA) club, led by an elected student committee. University staff play an important role in supporting the station, providing training and mentorship, as well as coordinating outside broadcasts across Adelaide University campuses to support student initiatives and activities.
Student-led UniCast events have included hosting live performances by local musicians and bands on campus, installing a CD vending machine to support local artists, and organising quiz nights.
Journalism students contribute to UniCast by producing live news bulletins as part of their assessments, taking on roles such as broadcast journalists, presenters, and producers.
Students from across the University are encouraged to get involved, by producing their own shows, joining the music research team, or creating content for UniCast’s social media platforms.
