Elite Sport and Performer Program registration

To be eligible for the services outlined on this website, you must register with Elite Sport and Performer support each year.

If you encounter problems with the form, we suggest you take screenshots and attach to email addressed to eliteathlete@adelaide.edu.au.

To avoid delays with your registration, please make sure you have supporting documentation from your sporting body or organisation for the current year. This must:

  • be signed by a senior member of your sporting body or organisation
  • be dated
  • appear on the official letterhead.

Elite Sport and Performers

Elite Athletes and Elite Sports Personnel

Please check your eligibility at the Australian Sports Directory to ensure your sport is both recognised and funded.

  • Australian Institute of Sport
  • State Institutes or Academies of Sport
  • Professional Players Association 
  • National Sporting Organisation

Elite Performers

To be considered for the Elite Performer Program you must perform at a state, national or international level and are recognised by one or more of the following:

  • National or State Performing Arts Organisations (e.g., State Opera South Australia, Australian Dance Theatre, State Theatre Company South Australia, or national equivalents).
  • Peak Industry Bodies holding a Professional-level membership or accreditation (e.g., Actors Equity/MEAA (Media, Entertainment & Arts Alliance), Australian Dance Council, Australian Directors Guild).
  • Major Festivals, Competitions, or Productions (in music, dance, theatre, circus, film, or TV) in a principal, major supporting, or key creative capacity.
  • Professional or Commercial Contracts (e.g., signed to a recognised talent agency, commercial producer, publishing house, or Australian/international record label).
