Welcome to our volunteer community

Your essential guide to volunteering at Adelaide University

Thank you for choosing to contribute your time, skills, and knowledge to support our university community.

Volunteers play a vital role in enriching university life, strengthening connections with our broader community, and helping us achieve meaningful impact across teaching, research, and student engagement. Whether you are a student, staff member, alumnus, or community member, your involvement is valued and appreciated.

To support you in your volunteering journey, a volunteer handbook has been designed and includes what you can expect from the program, what is expected of you, and where to find guidance, support and key information to help you engage safely, confidently and positively in your role.

Please download your copy of the volunteer handbook (login required) or, if you have any questions about this handbook, your volunteering or require assistance at any stage, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 8313 3354 or email: volunteer@adelaide.edu.au.

Being part of a university-wide volunteer program

How to navigate the Volunteer Portal

MyImpactPage is the University’s official volunteer management system and plays an important role in supporting a safe, consistent, and well‑organised volunteering experience across Adelaide University. The platform allows the Adelaide University Volunteer Program and volunteer coordinators to manage volunteer activities, communicate effectively, and ensure volunteers are appropriately supported and covered under the University’s duty of care and insurance arrangements.

Logging your hours and engaging with opportunities through the system helps us ensure you are recognised for your contribution and appropriately supported in your role.

For everything you need to know about using your MyImpactPage, please visit the site guide (login required).

The guide will help you with:

Please note that some volunteer groups may manage activities and hour logging slightly differently, depending on the nature of the role. Your Volunteer Coordinator will guide you if there are any local variations.

If you have any questions or need help with your MyImpactPage account at any time, your Volunteer Coordinator will be happy to assist, or you can contact the Adelaide University Volunteer Program on 8313 3354 or volunteer@adelaide.edu.au.
