About me
I am passionate
about understanding how the body responds to challenges—and sharing that knowledge
with others. What drives me is uncovering how things work, from the brain
circuits that control our stress responses, to how the body reacts to viruses
and vaccines, and now, to understanding how wounds heal particularly when complicated
by infection. By understanding these mechanisms, I aim to develop new, smarter
treatments that improve patient outcomes. What makes this work exciting is its
real-world impact and combination of fundamental biology with practical
solutions that can make a difference in people’s lives.
Equally
important to me is communicating science beyond the lab. I enjoy engaging with
a wide range of audiences, from students to the broader community, and making
complex ideas accessible and interesting. I am committed to mentoring emerging
researchers and fostering curiosity in STEM, helping others see both the value and
possibilities of science.
