Dr Arjun Burlakoti, MBBS-Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, PhD-Med-Neurovascular Anatomy and Pathology, a highly accomplished individual with an extensive background in the field of Human Anatomy and Neuroanatomy. Currently serving as a senior lecturer in Human Anatomy and Neuroanatomy at Adelaide University, South Australia. Dr Burlakoti is a medical graduate with a background in general surgery. He holds a PhD in Medicine (Neurovascular Anatomy and Pathology) from The University of Adelaide, South Australia. He is a member of the Australian New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomy (ANZACA) and a member of the Global Community of Anatomical Science Educator Network. With over 20 years of experience in teaching Anatomy, human biomechanics, clinical and whole-body gross and sectional anatomy, and Neuroanatomy, Dr Burlakoti has shared his expertise in various educational institutions and locations. These include Surgical Department-Kathmandu Model Hospital (KMH), KMH - School of Basic Sciences in Kathmandu, China's Shandong Second Medical University (Weifang Medical University) in Shandong, Northeast China, South Australian Institute of Business and Technology, Adelaide Medical School (University of Adelaide), and the University of South Australia and Adelaide University (since July 2010-continuing). Throughout his career, Dr Burlakoti has received a few prizes, grants, and recognition for his work, including the most Enthusiastic Staff Legacy End of ALH-UniSA Era Awardfirst prizes in teaching and the Shaping Australia National Award within his own university, as well as nationally in Australia. He has also been invited to deliver lectures and has made appearances on national and international television and media news networks, where he has shared information regarding his academic and research contributions and publications (CH7TV news). At Adelaide University, I am responsible for teaching and coordinating multiple anatomy and clinical anatomy-related courses for various health professionals. Within these courses, I focus on teaching and tutoring Human Anatomy, specifically emphasizing Gross and Sectional Anatomy (Thorax, Abdomen, Head and Neck) using CT and MR scans, Neuroanatomy, Functional and Clinical Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Electrocardiography (ECG), and Ultrasonographic (USG) Anatomy for various health professionals. My responsibilities extend beyond classroom instruction and include: Leading whole-body refresher courses for currently practising health professionals. Presenting to national and international health professionals visiting Adelaide University. Leading and supervising the donated cadaveric dissection team, consisting of both staff and students. Providing interviews to media outlets on health and anatomical research activities.
