Kate Vanderhorst is Senior Manager, Digital and Web Operations within Adelaide University’s Marketing and Communications team, responsible for leading the University’s digital and web operations across its corporate website, content management systems, digital platforms, and customer experience initiatives. She oversees digital governance, platform optimisation, UX, accessibility, and the strategic roadmap for the University’s digital ecosystem, leveraging data and user insights to shape digital strategy, prioritise investment, and continuously improve the University’s online experience.

With more than 10 years of experience in digital marketing, digital strategy, and web operations, Kate has led digital initiatives and high-performing teams across higher education, hospitality, and the private sector. Throughout her career, she has managed a broad range of functions, including digital marketing, branding, CRM, marketing automation, SEO and SEM, email marketing, paid social advertising, customer data and analytics, front-end web development, and UX. This experience enables her to bridge strategy, technology, and user experience to deliver evidence-based digital solutions that enhance engagement, improve organisational capability, and support strategic outcomes. Kate is also passionate about mentoring emerging digital professionals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
