About me
I am a Lecturer in Education within the School of Education,
College of Education, Behavioural and Social Sciences at Adelaide University. I
course coordinate the new TEEP Classroom management in the secondary context and
the Critical pedagogies in the secondary years courses. I am a Student
Experience Leader for preservice teachers within the secondary teaching level.
My background is performing Arts teaching, Inclusive Education & Wellbeing
Leadership at school, state and national level. I am passionate about
supporting both student teachers and experienced teachers to enhance their
professional skills and knowledge, to be effective, informed and intentional
teachers.
Research
As Senior advisor and education lead for the education
department, primarily within education reform in, inclusive education, school
resourcing and attendance. I have conducted research on behalf of government
departments and prepared case studies, reports and briefings for incumbent
government in support of decision making impacting public education initiatives
for the past 7 years. As part of The Commonwealth initiative on the reduction
of teacher workload, I facilitate a pilot program to explore the impact of
various mechanisms to support the workload around attendance.
