About the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Trade & Environment

Funded under the EU Erasmus Plus Program, The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Trade and Environment builds on the work of the previous Centre 2023- 2025, leveraging the University’s expertise to advance policy-relevant research, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach. It concentrates on initiatives that foster environmentally responsible trade and investment policy, facilitating dialogue and collaboration with EU and Asia-Pacific partners.

By integrating perspectives from government agencies, private enterprises think tanks, and international organisations, the Centre provides a focal point for innovation and cooperation in policy and practice.

Through workshops, seminars, publications, policy roundtables, and targeted research projects, the Centre will serve as an anchor for deepening the bilateral EU–Australia relationship and expanding tri-lateral or multilateral ties across the Asia-Pacific region.
