About Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Research and Education Group
Established in partnership with government and non-government sectors, the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Research and Education Group at Adelaide University is leading numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people in mental distress and at risk of suicide.
The strategic purpose of the group is to demonstrate through research and education how much people with lived experience, clinicians, policy makers and academic faculty can achieve working together in partnership to support people living with mental distress and support recovery with dignity.
Situated within the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Research and Education Group has a national and international reputation for undertaking deep scholarship in mental health and suicide prevention, creating strong community links, and sharing outcomes through education, publication, public policy and clinical practice.
We are governed by a commitment to deliver applied research outcomes based on lived experience. Resources are curated for educational purposes, to connect stakeholders from the mental health care space, and to further critical research and conversation.
