Standards affect almost every aspect of your life, enabling nearly everything around you to function correctly and safely.
In Australia, most standards are published by Standards Australia, who are also the national member body of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). These bodies do not write the standards themselves, instead that is done by technical experts from nominating organisations such as Adelaide University.
Staff of the University have the opportunity to contribute to the development of standards by becoming a representative on a committee. The list below gives a snapshot of the University’s contributions to Standards Australia.
Information about each committee is available on Box.
