Awards for innovative measurement achievements

Measurement Awards

The Atomic Clock Team, represented by Dr Rachel Offer (Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing), has won the NMI Measurement Impact award for measurement-related achievements demonstrating real-world impact. Dr Zhiwei Sun won the Measurement Achievement Encouragement Award for measurement-related achievements by early to mid-career professionals. National AAACP Conference awards

AAACP

Researchers from the Adelaide Medical School have been recognised for their research excellence at the 2023 Australasian Association for Academic Primary Care Conference in Melbourne. Professor Nigel Stocks was awarded the prestigious Charles Bridges-Webb Medal, and Research Fellow Dr Carla Bernardo was awarded the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPRG) Distinguished Paper award.

International Anti-Corruption Academy

Professor Emeritus Adam Graycar of the Stretton Institute has been appointed to the International Academic Advisory Board (IAAB) of the Vienna based International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA). The IACA, supported by the United Nations delivers professional education and Masters degrees to civil servants across the globe.

Theatre Guild wins two TASA awards

The Theatre Guild's 2022 production, Hand to God has won two TheatriCAL Awards presented by the Theatre Association of South Australia. It won the ComiCAL award for best comedy, and the Outstanding Performance (Play) award for lead Matt Houston. See the Theatre Guild's next production, Inkbeginning 12 October.

Templeton Adam Smith Tercentenary Fellowship

Professor Lisa Hill has been made a Templeton Adam Smith Tercentenary Fellow, one of eight worldwide. Their work will be directed at a global audience who will connect the University of Glasgow with worldwide venues to celebrate Smith around the world.

Innovation in Oral Care award

Peter Zilm

Associate Professor Peter Zilm (Adelaide Dental School) was recently awarded the Innovation in Oral Care award from the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) for research investigating the development of intelligent nanoparticles for the treatment of dental caries.

Award from the American Society for Nutrition

Professor Paula Moynihan receiving her award from Dr John Courtney, CEO of the American Society for Nutrition.

Professor Paula Moynihan (Adelaide Dental School), was recently awarded the American Society for Nutrition Foundation’s Roland L Weinsier Award for Excellence in Medical/Dental Nutrition Education. The award was presented at the Nutrition23 meeting in Boston and recognises an outstanding career with innovations in medical dental education.
