GWSA Trust Postdoctoral Grants

The Graduate Women SA Trust (GWSA Trust) Postdoctoral Grants provide financial assistance to early career female postdoctoral fellows. Up to four grants valued at up to $5,000 each will be awarded in 2024. Applications are open until Monday 5 August 2024. Further information.

MyUni Self Paced Course: ADEPT Designing Blended Learning

Designing courses in a blended mode enables the student-centred delivery of transformative learning experiences. This module engages with the principles of underpinning the design and delivery of blended leaning experiences and critically reflects on their application in practice. Self enrol here.

Psychosocial Risk Management Procedure

The Psychosocial Risk Management Procedure has been approved and is now available, outlining the University’s framework to manage psychosocial risks and the actions supervisors and staff must take to manage and respond to hazards or concerns. More information.

Peer review of teaching information session

If you are considering applying for an academic promotion next year, the Teaching Excellence team are holding a Peer Review of Teaching information session via Zoom for staff who have already applied for TRP in Round 2, 2024 or those who are looking to have a TRP in Round 1, 2025. Tuesday 16 July, 10–11 am. Online. Register.

Wellbeing grants program winners

The student wellbeing team is proud to announce the 25 recipients of the 2024 Wellbeing Grants Program. The program offered grants up to $1,000 for staff and student groups to provide important wellbeing services, supports and opportunities to students at the University. There are various initiatives taking place across all three campuses in coming months. More information

Alcohol on campus

The boundaries of the University's liquor license have recently been updated. A short-term licence is now required for all events where alcohol is being served or sold on campus, except in limited circumstances. An application to serve alcohol form must also be submitted and approved. More information.

AU Fitness Hub: deadlift area

The new deadlift area in the AU Fitness Hub is now open for use. Designed for safe deadlift exercises, it features rubber mats, specialised platforms, barbells, weight plates, and optional lifting gear for optimal grip. More information.

Review of the postgraduate programs in media

The University is currently undertaking a Review of the Postgraduate Programs in Media. Education Quality invites staff to make a submission on matters relevant to the Terms of Reference. Submissions can be uploaded to the online form now until Friday 2 August, 5 pm. More information.

Commendation for 2024 Tracey Bretag Prize for Academic Integrity

Claudia Gottwald, Academic Integrity Skills Officer, was recently commended in the 2024 Tracey Bretag Prize for Academic Integrity. Claudia’s work with the Academic Integrity Ambassadors was praised for its impressive reach and positive outcomes, including its adoption by other institutions as evidence of its impact.
