Resources Discovery Experience

The Resources Discovery Experience is now open for South Australian students in Year 11 or 12 in 2025.

The multiple day industry immersion program will provide students with a firsthand insight into a day-in-the-life in the resources sector, the opportunity to tour mine sites, chat 1-1 with industry professionals, and participate in hands-on STEM workshops with current students and university academic staff.

Eligibility criteria

In order for students to be eligible to participate in the Resources Discovery Experience, they must:

  • Be undertaking Year 11 or 12 (SACE or IB) in South Australia in 2025.
  • Have a passion for STEM and an interest in pursuing a career in the mining and resources industry.

Program details

Date: Tuesday 22nd April - Thursday 24th April 2025

Location: University of Adelaide, North Terrace Campus, Adelaide SA 5005 and off-site visits

Cost: Free

There is no cost associated with the Resources Discovery Experience, with meals provided on each of the three days. Students from regional South Australia are encouraged to apply, with travel and accommodation grants available to cover all associated costs.
